“Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka His Royal Hotness, is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant; hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you.

Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn’t bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face.

Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.

Dating a prince isn’t what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be.

There’s a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they’ve traded in horse drawn carriages for Rolls Royces, and haven’t chopped anyone’s head off lately, the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.

But to Olivia, Nicholas is worth it.

Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end, Nicholas has to decide who he is and, more importantly, who he wants to be: a King… or the man who gets to love Olivia forever”

Olivia was a sweet hard-working girl from New York. She was a little naïve at times but you could tell that she was a caring person. In the beginning of the book she was a little bit of a workaholic but towards the end you definitely see her loosen up. I didn’t mind Olivia I thought she was a friendly character.

I wasn’t a big fan of Nicholas. Sure, he was a prince with a flirty smile and charming personality but he was driven by sex and a was a bit of a player. He was nice and really cared about Olivia and his brother which I liked seeing. I liked Nicholas when he was caring but other times he was either an arrogant jerk or he seemed like he just wanted a sexual relationship.

The whole book pretty much revolves around Olivia’s and Nicholas love story. There’s a lot of sweet moments they have together but there are also a few bad ones. The book was a little cliché, with the queen not really liking Olivia and the flirty/ troubled younger prince. Towards the end of the book I started to get a little bored, stuff was happening I just wasn’t that interested.

The relationship between Olivia and Nicholas started out rough. Their first encounter was a mess but things started to get better throughout the book. Their relationship was fast paced and had a lot of heated scenes which I wasn’t a big fan of. Their relationship is filled with passion and spontaneous moments.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I rate this book a 2 out of 5. At least to me, there was a lot of cringe scenes. Some parts of the book were funny and made me laugh but others I just find amusing. I didn’t mind Olivia but I wasn’t a big fan of Nicolas. I think I would have liked this book a little more if the relationship between Olivia and Nicolas wasn’t so fast-paced. I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, you’ve just been reviewed.
